This form of massage is a very releasing form of holistic bodywork. Sometimes referred to as 'the Tai Chi of massage, Pulsing finds its roots in both Tibet and Hawaii.
The therapy takes place through comfortable clothing and is a surprisingly deep form of rocking style massage that is a rhythmical and exceptionally fluid form of bodywork that supports the body-mind system in releasing deep seated tensions and imbalances.
The pulsing practitioner applies easy rocking, stretching and opening movements to the pulsee, creating a wave-like motion throughout the whole body. Although it works within an almost continuous flow of movement, this form of bodywork is exceptionally relaxing, sometimes to the point of being like a deep meditation for both receiver and giver!
Holistic Pulsing is like being rocked in the womb or floating on water, inviting the body to experience the full potential for fluid freedom, ease and relaxation. At other times this work can become more vigorous, re-energizing and revitalizing for the receiver.

Integral to Holistic Pulsing is the two-way facilitative process between practitioner (pulser) and client (pulsee). A Holistic Pulsing session is a collaboration of two people working together, creating a very different resonance from one person ‘fixing’ another.
During certain phases of the work, it is not uncommon for laughter or tears to surface and then subside in gentle waves as the mind and body of the receiver begin to unwind.
Another of the benefits of Pulsing is that it is both very soothing to receive at the same time as being a deeper form of massage therapy. Pulsing massage is a way of truly letting go and of finding an enhanced inner spaciousness as a result.
